About
SeferScroll is a random infinite-scroll browser for Biblical texts using the Sefaria API, inspired by WikiTok. It is a modern form of goral, the ancient practice of divination through opening a text at random (typically Psalms), and a commentary on infinite scroll and algorithmic content curation.
In memory of the lovely Mahla Shaebanyan-Bady (1980–2023), who was neither Jewish nor did she own a cellphone, but appreciated irony and loved to learn online. I'm thankful we were able to cross paths.
