I modded my Tamagotchi Paradise "Purple Sky" version by swapping out the shell and buttons, and I really like it so far. I followed this guide, and ordered my shell from eBay. The process was pretty straight forward. The most difficult part was keeping track of the tiny screws and a tiny hex nut once I removed them, as well as the spring from the spinner knob. My new shell had come with extra screws and a spring (plus a screwdriver), but I didn't want to use them right off the bat if I didn't have to. The new shell also came with new buttons but no rubber button covers, so I reused the ones I had anyway.
I used the pink buttons, spinner knob, face plate, and top flip cover from the Purple Sky shell, the translucent dark pink glitter shell from eBay, and the pink back plate from the Orange Tropics shell. The back plate and the top flip cover are slightly different shades of pink but it's not very noticeable.
I currently have my Orange Tropics Tamagotchi Paradise modded with a purple shell/pink back plate/clear glitter buttons and spinner wheel, but I'm not really feeling it. I think I will do something different with it later. My original intention was to make it a translucent glitter version, but the battery compartment is orange, and I didn't like the aesthetics of that. The clear glitter flip top is also getting stuck closed from an improper fit.
